SUBFRAME

The subframe is the tail section of the motorcycle that is attached to the chassis. It usually has the seat, taillamp assembly, turn indicators and registration numberplate mounted on to it. If the bike uses a twin coil-spring suspension setup at the rear, the top ends of the units are attached to the subframe.
