ANIRUDHA, BENGALURU
My decision to buy the TVS Jupiter was made after a lot of research. I read as many reviews of the scooter as I could and went around the city’s showrooms taking test-rides. Once I took a ride on the Jupiter it was clear that this was the scooter I needed to buy. The most important thing for an Indian customer is a vehicle’s mileage and the TVS Jupiter returns close to 50 km/l when ridden within city limits; and this in a city as crowded as Bengaluru where most of the time we end up in stop-and-go traffic. The Jupiter is also fairly powerful for a scooter and I can easily get up to about 95 km/h without the scooter’s engine having to strain. The suspension, too, is well set up and, as a result, the ride quality is very good. Then, of course, there is the peace of mind that comes with TVS service support. So far they have addressed whatever minor requirements I have had without delay. I have now owned the Jupiter for over a year and in that time I have not faced any issues with the scooter. TVS’ Jupiter is one of the most popular scooters in its segment. What really attracted me to the Jupiter, after taking test-rides on several other competitors, were its alloy wheels that come as standard fitment. This TVS scooter also boasts of exceptional and unmatched stability, be it on straights, through turns or even under braking. The fact that the fuel-tank filler-cap is located at the rear is an additional benefit since I don’t need to get off the scooter when re-fuelling. The other things I like about the Jupiter are its spacious under-seat storage space and the mobile charging point placed inside the compartment. It offers comfortable seats and an excellent suspension. What more could one ask for from a scooter? Perhaps, the only thing I would like to have is the option of getting a disc brake and ABS.
