Aprilia SR 150 Price Surprises All

AT THE AUTO EXPO 2016 HELD AT THE beginning of this year, Aprilia had announced that they would foray into the Indian scooter market with their premium 150-cc scooter, the SR 150. In an exclusive interview with Bike India, Stefano Pelle, MD and CEO of Piaggio Vehicles Private Limited, had said that this scooter would be launched some time in August. The company has announced that the SR 150 will be launched at Rs 65,000 (ex-Pune) this month.

Now, the SR 150 borrows a few bits and pieces from the Vespa 150. On the basis of that we expected the company to price the scooter at about Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). Contrary to that expectation, however, the introductory price turns out to be quite attractive and will make sure that this Aprilia scooter becomes the most dominating scooter in the scooter segment. We are all agog for the SR 150 will be the only Moto Scooter in the country.
