Honda Expand Gujarat Plant

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently announced the commencement of their second assembly line at the Vithalapur plant in Gujarat. The second assembly line is dedicated exclusively to scooters and it will mainly cater to the production of the Activa, India’s largest selling two-wheeler. With this second line, the annual capacity of the plant has now reached 1.2 million units per annum. This takes the total production capacity of all the four Honda plants to a combined 5.8 million units.
