Exchange of Flag Ceremony

The Exchange of Flag ceremony takes place every evening. Timings vary between summer and winter. In summers, the ceremony is conducted at 6.30 pm whereas in winter it is conducted an hour earlier at 5.30 pm. We would recommend getting a VIP pass, which allows the visitor to get inside the enclosure and watch the proceedings from up close. Passes can be acquired from the BSF outpost in Khaasa, 22 km before the border, between 9.00 am and 11.00 am.
