Vikram Pawah
Managing Director Harley-Davidson India
VIKRAM PAWAH HAS BEEN IN CHARGE OF HARLEYDavidson’s Indian operations for about nine months now, but his love for all things motorbike stretches far beyond that. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce with honours from the Delhi University, followed by a master’s in business administration from the Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. From his college days Vikram was known to work odd jobs to help buy and maintain the bikes he used then. He also has nearly 25 years of experience in the automotive field, 21 of which he spent at Honda both in Australia and in India.
Vikram has ascended to the helm of a five-year success story with H- D and has already set about building on this platform. He has overseen the construction and introduction of the ‘Legend on Wheels’ mobile dealership to help increase the firm’s outreach. He has also pioneered the ‘Passport to Freedom’ campaign which is aimed at improving biker proficiency and confidence. The firm has also recently launched the new Dark Custom line-up of bikes in India, which consists of upgraded variants of the Street 750, Iron 883 and Forty- Eight, along with the introduction of a brand-new model in the form of the Sportster 1200 Custom. All this has resulted in a consolidation of Harley’s market-leader position and the company has posted double- digit growth figures for 2016 so far.
