Managing Director, MV Agusta India Ltd & Kinetic Engineering Ltd

AJINKYA FIRODIA IS A MAN WITH MANY FEATHERS IN his cap. Apart from being the managing director of MV Agusta’s Indian foray, he also holds the same position at Kinetic Engineering, is also the director of Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd and ZF Steering Systems. Ajinkya received an education in economics and engineering from one of the United States’ premier Ivy League schools in Brown University, and had a stint at finance institution J P Morgan in New York before coming back to India and entering his family business: Kinetic. His first foray into the Kinetic Group was in 2003 as head of sales and marketing, a position he held for six years until 2009. During this time he led the company through 12 nationwide brand launches and also supervised a dealership network of 600 outlets. After this, he focused his energies on the automotive side of things of the Kinetic Group, working towards developing new business models revolving round this space.

The latest edition to these efforts is Motoroyale, an initiative to bring the legendary MV Agusta brand of superbikes to India. Only a few months old in the Indian market, the brand has brought in the likes of the Brutale 1090 and 1090 RR, F3, F4 and F4 RR here, with the Brutale 800 expected next.
