Aprilia SR 150 Launched

IT MAY BE RECALLED THAT LAST MONTH WE had reported in these columns that Aprilia would be launching their first scooter in India with a surprising price-tag of Rs 65,000. Now the company has launched the SR 150, which is available immediately at Piaggio’s MotoPlex showrooms as well as at the Vespa dealerships across the country.

The SR 150 is the country’s first moto scooter, which means that it has the engine specifications of a motorcycle mated to the convenience of a scooter. It is powered by the same engine as that propelling the Vespa 150, although the dynamics are completely new and more fun than in the case of the Vespa.
