The Dirtsack website describes this as a multi-utility rider’s vest and, frankly, we can’t think of any other way to describe it. Made of a combination of durable textile and mesh, this vest is adjustable for girth as well as height via easy to reach expansion buckles, making it a genuine one-size-fits-all item. The vest has four utility pockets on the front along with a couple of ‘secret’ compartments for valuables, and a large compartment at the back that can be used either as a pouch to carry your hydration pack or a spare change of clothes for the day. For added safety, high-visibility reflective elements have been used in the design to help you stand out in the dark. We’ve tried the vest and it turns out to be highly convenient since you don’t have to suffer the inconvenience of taking it off to get to your essentials (a drawback of conventional backpacks). The only negative of this product is that the piece we have doesn’t have an aperture for the pipe of a hydration pack. Perhaps, it is a fault with the unit that we have.
