SUSPENSION TRAVEL

The amount of travel the suspension fork tube or spring allows from minimum load to maximum load (bottoming out) is the total suspension travel. Road bikes — both sport and street bikes — in general tend to have more limited travel whereas dual-purpose and adventure bikes such as the Hero Impulse and Royal Enfield Himalayan have longer travel suspension to help deal with more challenging terrain without losing out on speed.
