BMW Motorrad are all set to enter the Indian market this month with their magnificent big bikes
BMW MOTORRAD, THE MOTORCYCLE wing of the German automotive giant, is finally entering the Indian market this month. The premium motorcycle manufacturers have been studying the Indian market for a very long time as they aim to price their big motorcycles competitively to take on the likes of Ducati and Triumph. Last year we got a first glimpse of the brand in India at the Auto Expo and now we will see their dealerships spring up across the country this month.
Initially, BMW Motorrad will launch their R, K and S Series of motorcycles in India. The R Series consists of adventure and touring models such as the R 1200 GS, R, RS and RT. The K Series is BMW’s sport touring range comprising motorcycles of the K 1300 and K 1600 lines. And, finally, the S Series is the epitome of performance with bikes such as the S 1000 RR, the R and XR. All these bikes will be the first to grace dealerships initially. The company plans to introduce more models, including the G 310 R and GS, in the near future.
Apart from the G 310 R and GS, the company will also launch the rest of the line-up, including their scooters. However, the timeframe for that is not known as of now. We are eagerly waiting for the bikes and also to see how competitively BMW Motorrad price them for India.
