RAM-AIR INTAKE

A ram-air intake design uses dynamic air pressure created by the motion of the bike to increase the static air pressure inside the intake manifold for an internal combustion engine. This allows a greater mass of air through to the engine, allowing for increased engine power. The Kawasaki Ninja series popularly use ramair on the ZX-10R and ZX-14R which offers up to 10 PS (five per cent) more power as a result.
