Incoming: Benelli Tornado 302

LAST YEAR WE WERE THE FIRST TO RIDE THE BENELLI TORNADO 302. IT WAS featured as the cover story of our anniversary issue. Back then, we were the first to tell you that the company would be launching this bike soon. However, after a delay of almost a year, Benelli are all set to launch the bike very soon. Benelli spent the last year fine-tuning the bike before making it available to the people and now the bike is ready for its public début.

The Tornado 302 will be the first Benelli in the country to have a full fairing, making it quite an attractive proposition for the youngsters. The Tornado 302 will feature the same 300-cc parallel-twin motor that powers the naked TnT 300. The bike we rode was capable of 36 PS and 27 Nm; however, the new one might feature a slightly higher output. This engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Tornado 302 will also feature a new frame, rear suspension, and tyres, too.

The bike will go on sale very soon and it will be priced around Rs 3 lakh, which will make it a highly tempting proposition in its segment.
