Looking Forward to Super Four

-

I am very happy to see that Honda plan to compete with Royal Enfield. While I understand that those plans are being put on hold, according to some reports, I would be very happy to see Honda CB400 Super Four and his nii-san [brother in Japanese - Ed] CB1100 in India. I have been a fan of that bike for a long time and my friend in Japan currently owns that bike. It was an absolute beauty to ride when I went there.

While I am a fan of retro bikes, I don’t like the hassle that come with owning a retro bike. I like the modern features that come in today’s bikes, so a bike such as the Super Four is perfect to compete with Royal Enfield, according to me. Hope Honda take notice of this small mail. Hello, Rishav,

While it is true that Honda do plan to go toe-to-toe with Royal Enfield here in India, when they made the announcement of this particular intent, they mentioned that a whole new bike is under development with an R&D team comprising engineers

from various countries across southeast Asia providing their inputs on the project. So as you mention, even though they have a ready-made option in the CB400SF (and the Rebel 300, too), it isn’t likely that they will bring either bike to India. However, since we have printed your letter here, we are sure Honda will read it and take your request under consideration.

Racing Aspirant

I live in Pune and need your valuable guidance to join an authorised circuit racing school around the city. Where may I obtain a professional race licence? I’ll be grateful to you if I am informed

about such events. Dipanjan Saha, Pune Hi, Dipanjan,

Sadly, you will have to travel outside Pune to participate in a racing school and acquire a racing licence. There are schools such as the California Superbike School, Honda Ten10 Racing, Apex Racing Academy, and R.A.C.R, among others, but all of them are held at venues such as the MMRT in Chennai or the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. You can find schedules, cost and other information on the schools’ respective websites.
