Honda’s New Cliq

HONDA MOTORCYCLE AND SCOOTER INDIA (HMSI) HAVE LAUNCHED THEIR LATEST scooter, the Cliq, bearing a price tag of Rs 43,076 (ex-Pune). This new scooter features unique styling that will surely attract many eyeballs. Based on the Activa, the Cliq is positioned as the most inexpensive Honda scooter one can buy. The Honda Cliq borrows its powertrain from the Activa and Dio range — a 109.2-cc air-cooled engine producing 8.0 PS and 8.94 Nm of torque and mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The lightweight scooter claims to offer 83 km/litre and has a fuel tank capacity of 3.5 litres. Adding to its practicality are block-pattern tyres, a wide footboard, decent underseat storage space, and an optional rear carrier. Read our first ride report in this very issue on page 84.
