Af­ter­mar­ket ABS Fea­si­ble?

I am an avid fan of Bike In­dia. This is apro­pos of the ar­ti­cle, ‘Achieve Good Mileage’, com­piled by Rom­mel Al­bu­querque in the July 2014 is­sue of Bike In­dia. I own a Honda Ac­tiva that is six years old and has clocked 29,500 km. In the month of De­cem­ber 2016, I was able to achieve a fuel ef­fi­ciency of 100 km/l, rid­ing mainly on the high­way. I am grate­ful to you for print­ing the ar­ti­cle and also to Honda Mo­tor­cy­cle and Scooter In­dia for their su­perb de­sign and engi­neer­ing. I have a query re­gard­ing the anti-lock brak­ing sys­tem (ABS). Can ABS be in­stalled on my Honda Ac­tiva?

In con­clu­sion I am happy to say that your mag­a­zine is use­ful to two-wheeler lovers like me. Satya Sai Prasad Vanam, via e-mail sen­sors and ad­di­tional com­po­nents, and it is usu­ally fit­ted by the man­u­fac­tur­ers. The me­chan­i­cal drum brakes on the Ac­tiva are pretty ba­sic and hence there is no way that ABS can be fit­ted on them be­cause ABS works per­fectly well with disc brakes and hy­draulic drum brakes.
