Moto3
The brilliant Joan Mir (Leopard Honda) scored his eighth Moto3 victory of the year in nerve-jangling style, pouncing on the final lap to beat Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini Honda) by 0.043 seconds, with Enea Bastianini (Estrella Galicia Honda) a further 0.008 seconds behind.
‘Miracle Mir’, as he is known by his team, Di Giannantonio and Bastianini were closely followed over the line by Jorge Martin (Gresini Honda), Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia Honda) and John McPhee (British Team Honda), who finished half a second behind the winner and made it an all-Honda top six.
After the race Mir was sanctioned for overly-aggressive weaving on the final lap: a penalty of six grid positions at the next race.
First non-Honda rider was Marcos Ramirez (Platinum Bay Real Estate KTM), who finished just seven-tenths behind Mir.
