HMSI On an Upswing

the Past fIscal has Been extremely faVouraBle to honda motorcycle and scooter India (hmsI). they have set a world record by becoming the first two-wheeler company in the world to add more than a million incremental customers in a single financial year.

In addition to this, honda have also achieved their highest ever total sales figure of more than 6.1 million units. that translates into a 22 per cent growth, of which exports alone account for an all-time high figure of nearly 3,50,000 units.

In other news, hmsI have confirmed that they will launch a brand-new model and 18 upgrades for their current portfolio in the forthcoming months. they also seek to expand their reach in the country with particular focus on the remote areas.

honda customers can look forward to the honda joy club, a customer loyalty programme that will be implemented this year. furthermore, hmsI have said that they will improve the honda Best deal network (pre-owned two-wheeler business) to reach almost 250 touchpoints.

the company’s plans for the future include preparing for BsVI standards. hmsI claim that their teams are already working on further improving the quality of their products while keeping the costs competitive, adding that they are en route to achieving a seamless transition to meet Bs-VI standards in the future. they have confirmed that their suppliers are on board as well. the total investment for the 2018-19 fiscal will be nearly rs 800 crore.

another area of focus will be promoting honda’s brand power. the new Brand and communication operation will promote road safety and highlight honda’s prowess in motor sport.
