In 2011, Honda 2Wheelers India announced their ambitious plan to become number one in India by 2020, a goal that they seem to be nearing faster than anticipated. Sales have shown a consistently northward trend since the Activa. Each year, Honda have been posting positive numbers even if the overall industry has been hit by a slow-down. In fact, Honda 2Wheelers India have been one of the few manufacturers who have not been badly hit by policies and emission-norm changes.

Honda 2Wheelers India recently announced its vision to be leading the world in Quality and Quantity. The company already closed FY’17-18 with all time high sales of 6 million units plus. In fact, Honda has created a world record of becoming the only two-wheeler manufacturer to add 1 million incremental volumes in a single year. Besides, Honda 2Wheelers India also have a big advantage when it comes to technology because the company has its roots in R&D. This will certainly give them an upper hand when the emission laws change in 2020, moving straight from BS-IV to BS-VI. Honda have confirmed that they have the technology that will benefit them when the change actually takes place and at that time they will surely be in a better position than the competition. Today, Honda not only leads India with quality but also quantity.

All this confidence is based on the company’s technological prowess, which is a result of more than half a century of innovation and research and development. For Honda it seems that the limit lies beyond the sky.
