Dr Bibek Banerjee is the Dean and Head of Academics for Bridge School of Management. Acknowledged widely as an innovation driven institution builder in India, Dr Banerjee joined Bridge School from the Institute of Management Technology Ghaziabad (IMTG) where he was the Director and Academic Mentor of Group-IMT (India). Previously, he was at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), where he spent 18 years as Professor of Marketing & Economics. Dr Bibek Banerjee had shaped a collaboration between IIMA and Duke Corporate Education, the corporate education arm of Duke University, USA, the world’s top rated provider of customized executive education. He led the collaboration to develop an influential practice of client-specific and customized learning solutions for a wide range of large corporations. Dr Banerjee has recently been inducted as a Director in the Academy of Indian Marketing (AIM), an academic and industry think-tank comprising of leading scholars and practitioners and leaders of business and marketing management. Dr Banerjee serves as a country expert for India and a member of the Asia Pacific Advisory Council of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) - the most stringent and prestigious academic accreditation body for business education in the world. Dr Banerjee’s business consulting experience include engagements with several national and multinational organisations viz. Ericsson, Coca Cola, the Aditya Birla Group, Genpact, Microsoft, the Citigroup, INFOSYS, TATA group, Unilever India, HDFC Bank, TVS Group etc. Dr Banerjee specialises in using simulation techniques to drive hands-on and high engagement learning outcomes for senior executives as well as graduate students. Dr Banerjee’s research interests are in analytical modelling for marketing decision-making contexts and stylised Game Theoretic models of marketing phenomena. An avid adventure traveler, high altitude trekker and a nature photographer, Dr Banerjee has led expeditions in the Himalayas, including the Base Camps of Mount Everest, Annapurna, Machhapuchhare and Kanchejungha. An alum of Kolkata’s St Xavier’s College, Dr Banerjee earned his PhD and MS degrees in Economics and Marketing Sciences from Purdue University, USA.
