The Best Price Show

- By Our Correspondent

When you need that bridal lehenga for your big day, do you think of Chandani Chowk or Anju Modi’s exclusive store in the most high-end locale of the city? When you plan to buy sleek cocktail heels, do you think of a normal shoe shop or the fabulous collection at Christian Louboutin? If you are a brand enthusiast but also think that designer labels are not so affordable, meet Delhi based Priya Lakhanpal who is making Luxury Fashion affordable for everyone through her Startup “The Best Price Show” Struck by the thought, how most top Indian players have a global appeal yet it is so difficult for them to tap the mass, Priya came up with the idea of pop up stores that will travel the whole country bringing affordable luxury fashion to everyone including Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. That is how The Best Price Show (TBPS) came into existence. Priya thought that if she could unite under one roof the well-respected designers of our country, this would immediately make available an unrivalled range to consumers at “Best Price”, whilst giving these seasoned players a win-win business opportunity. Priya, who holds a Bachelors degree from Kirori Mal College says, “We are all set to travel the entire country now taking our pop up stores to locations like Ludhiana, Jaipur,

Kanpur, Indore and many more” “While I decided to enter into domestic fashion market, I have also tried my luck in International markets and having showcased my designs in Dubai and London, have received appreciation in creativity & business skills.” says Priya Having worked in the corporate sector for over 8 years Priya understands the need for technology in fashion industry really well and has introduced the concept of Virtual Trial Rooms in her Delhi store. Virtual Trial Rooms help people to try on the clothes virtually which saves a lot of time and effort and makes comparison really easy. The Best Price Show will also be going international as per Founder Priya Lakhanpal. “I have travelled 41 countries and have seen the need for designer Indian dresses amongst Indians living abroad. We will soon be announcing our international pop up store too” Over the past few years the number of Indians buying designer wear has increased substantially. With nearly 1 in 2 users on Facebook and Instagram calling out ‘Fashion & Shopping’ as an interest, and 85 percent of millennials interested in Fashion on Facebook alone, the success of TBPS should come as no surprise. The penetration of smartphones has increased over the years in India and Priya is using this as an advantage by making 360 degree videos of designer stores that people can watch with a VR glass. Indian fashion industry is valued at $70 billion today. This figure is expected to grow 4x to reach $30 billion by 2020, and will comprise 60-70 percent of the total branded apparel market. E-commerce only accounts for 4-5 percent of the total fashion market. The Best Price Show absolutely knows how to take this as an advantage and bridge the gap between fashion enthusiasts and fashion creators, be it apparels, art or accessories. And who knows if Priya, with her entrepreneurial and innovative skills, takes ‘The Best Price Show’ to another level of heights by putting across a show on real estate, automobiles, diamonds and what not.
