Modesty, modernization, materialisation, management are the four catalyst for the success of Chanda Steel Works Pvt. Ltd and it stands for the same. Delhi-based and involved in manufacturing and exporting stainless steel utensils is the short and crisp resume of this company. Fulfilling the dreams of late Mr. P. L. Jain, this enterprise was started by his son, Mr Satish Kumar Jain in the year 1990.

This firm, which was founded in its present avatar by Mr Satish K. Jain and Mr Chander Prakash Bararia, has its manufacturing facilities in Kundli. Chanda Steel is proud of the fact that their products have won high laurels of praise and credibility from his clients for their unique design and high quality. Another example of this is the coveted State Export Award which came their way in 2015-16. Exports to a number of countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Japan, Austrialia and South Africa are his feathers in the cap here. One of the reasons which signs in the deal for Chanda Steel is that they have the Walmart chain of stores as one of their customers. A run-up of some of their items rolled out includes kitchen ware, house ware, pet ware ,bath accessories, cutlery, servings and table accessories. Labelling the company as “a leading manufacturer and exporter of high quality stainless steel house ware, cutlery and allied products crafted in a variety of styles, finishes and gauges,” is an affable and smiling Jain. A hallmark feature of this firm is its “extensive growth, product innovation and continued quality development plans.” For manufacturing of steel items, the raw material is sourced from the Jindal Group and from some companies in China. "What keeps the ball rolling and invigorating the whole atmosphere with positivity is that this company keeps challenging itself and trying its level best to develop new products and expanding its market reach,” says Mr

Siddharth Bararia, who heads the marketing arm as its director. The primary work ethos here is “mutual benefit insisting on the target of united and diligent, practical and creative, punctual and efficient,” and for this,” we are willing to walk hand in hand with our customers line up,” sums up Chander Prakash Bararia. Till now, the manufacturing base is working at 75 percent of its optimization limit. One unit for manufacturing is spread over 32,000 square feet and the other is 15000 square feet in its area. The team of three is responsible for increasing the scope into international waters, is full of charged up energy and an unending vibe for sheer hard work. Now, with Mr Shreyansh Bararia and Sidhanth bararia also having joined hands in this company, the whole atmosphere is replete with youthful energy and zest. Chanda Steel teed off the exports segment of this business in 1996 and by 1999 got cent percent engaged in it. Incidentally, the United States was the first country they began dealing with. Aiding and abetting him in his professional sojourn is his son, Anshul Jain, a BBA and MBA degrees holder who came aboard with his father about three years ago. A factor which makes the Chanda Steel beam with

pride is that “we always manage to retain our clients and our retention figures hinge around 90 to 100 percent.” For this, the prime time reason given is that “we provide timely delivery of our consignments.” Armed with the ISO 9000:2008, SEDEX, BSCI, Walmart and CTPAT certifications, this company is home to about 200 employees. Of these, a team of three is dedicated exclusively towards sales and marketing and roughly 28 constitute the administrative arm. Other factors which have helped in making Chanda Steel a name to reckon with in the market are “our quality and our pricing philosophy.” Chanda Steel is turning in with about Rs 45 crore and an average growth rate of close to ten percent each year. What began with an initial investment of Rs fifty to sixty lakh, is now a full grown venture which spends forty to fifty lakh of rupees for its research and development activities regularly. An unwritten code of rules which has made this

company able to carve out a niche for itself is that “I am not just into making money for myself, the driving force here is client satisfaction.” Being the president for Bartan Nirmata Sangh since the last seven to eight years and the General Secretary for Wazirpur Pollution Control Board are some of the achievement highlights of this able entrepreneur who aims to log in turnovers of about Rs 80 crore within the next five years. Modestly, Satish Jain attributes the reasons for his success to “god’s grace, team spirit and hard work.” The top line management at Chanda Steel staunchly believes that “we have no competition other than to better our own selves in this field.” In this particular arena, the real scene stealer is that “we continuously try to bring in as many new products into the market as is possible.” A look at the range of products here shows forth items like servers, tongs, bread baskets, salad bowls, ice buckets, canisters, cocktail shakers, compartment plates and trays, platters, curry dishes, lasagne grills, baking trays, roasting and grilling trays, gravy boats, butter dishes, ice cream cups, soup bowls, coaster sets, napkin rings, egg holders, sugar pots, water jugs, tumblers, pitchers, salt and pepper shakers, sugar dispensers, coffee containers, pasta pots, steamer sets, bell creamers,

graters, juice strainers, juicers, potato mashers and their ilk. More items from this house of steel are a set of bowls, diners, serving dishes and display stands for pets. A further look through into this portfolio here also gives mention to bar tool sets, wine buckets, bar trays, different types of bowls like footed, double wall, regular mixing, deep mixing and stain bowls; oil can, oil dispensers, champagne bucket, ash trays, coffee sprinklers, cookie and cake boxes, lid bowls, food covers, tea warmers, ketchup bowls, and coffee mugs. "A very distinct underlying thrust which runs through the R&D wing at Chanda Steel is to try to make certain tasks easier in the kitchen and for this we try to continuously develop newer products,” Says Siddhant Bararia. As mentioned above, this is one industry where innovation and invention of different products always pays dividends. For stamping in their presence in the foreign turf, the Chanda Steel regularly participate in a handful of exhibitions in places like Hong Kong, Chicago, Turkey and

Frankfurt every year. This is one move which is sure to help make way for the Chanda Steel product parapharnelia in lands both far and near. The team who are of the view that “there is no substitute for good hard work, also believe in the magic of trying to adjudge what exactly the client wishes for and then go ahead and give them just that.” When one is blessed with such a spirit for continuous search for newer ideas and means to make more inroads into the end user base, there is very little which can stop you from attaining your dream. This is what sets Chanda Steel Works Pvt. Ltd apart from the rest of the companies in its horizon of work – that is to plod on tirelessly in search of what it is that will entrall the client and make them opt for you amongst the others in this line. Also, when one is powered up with a clear vision and a transparent mission statement so that no ambiguities exist within the setup, the whole running of any enterprise becomes very smooth and

efficient. This is what gives that extra energy and the push to work harder and with more gutso to staffers at Chanda Steel. In addition, this company has the hormonal add on in terms of a very level headed management which does not pull any stops when it comes to putting in extra hours and efforts in its bid to better its spectrum. All of which puts Chanda Steel in the league of the “top of the tops” when it comes to talking in the language of steel and steel utensils.
