Bank of Baroda in yet another customer centric initiative has become the 1st Public Sector Bank to open a Digital Banking Lobby at Metro Station (Sikanderpur), Gurugram. The Digital banking lobby is equipped with high tech infrastructure & offers seamless services at Sikanderpur Metro Station with various utilities to give overwhelming experience to its customers. The various banking services include Account Opening Kiosk to facilitate instant account opening and issuance of debit card with E- KYC, ATM for Cash Withdrawal , Coin Vending Machine to meet up the daily change requirements of customers & Multi- Functional Kiosk which offers facilities like cheque deposit , mobile recharge, account balance enquiry, mini statement generation, bill payment, internet banking convenience etc . In order to give a personal touch, Bank has also placed 2 staff members for assisting the customers resolving their queries/ clarifications & offering other products of Bank. Shri Ashok Kumar Garg, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, speaking on the occasion said “Bank has always maintained its tradition of being pioneer in various branding initiatives. Today when our country is moving towards Digitization, opening a Digital lobby at Sikanderpur Metro Station is one of the best platforms used by our Bank. We want our customers to get the maximum benefit out of it”. Mr. Rakesh Kumar Bhatia, General Manager (Mktg, Corp. Comm. & WMS), Bank of Baroda, speaking on the occasion said “We have been trying to make the difference whether it is Branding or Banking. Sikanderpur Metro Station is one of the busiest stations in Gurgaon with an average daily footfall of one lac people. Digital lobby at this station will help customers to deal with day to day transactions and our 2 officials will also be assisting them for experiencing the “Banking on the Move”.
Bank of Baroda’s Association with Mumbai Traffic Police
Bank of Baroda has been regularly handholding with Mumbai Police in their various efforts. Continuing with the same spirit, the Bank handed over another tranche of -90- barricades to Mumbai Traffic Police. This is in addition to earlier tranche of -50barricades sponsored by the Bank in November, 2016. These barricades will be deployed by the Mumbai Traffic Police at strategic locations BKC, Bandra, Santacruz during the Janmashtami, Ganesh Ustav, Navrathri, Mount Marry fair etc. On the ocassion, Shri Rakesh Bhatia, General Manager (Mktg., Corp. Comm. & WMS) praised the role and contribution of Mumbai Traffic Police in bringing a discipline on the busy roads of the vibrant city. Mr. Sanjay Jadhav, IPS, currently holding temporary charge of Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Mumbai Traffic Police appreciated Bank’s gesture and support.
Bank of Baroda enters into MOU with Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC)
In a sombre ceremony held at Bank
of Baroda, New Delhi, Bank of Baroda ,a premier and leading Nationalized Bank and Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which the Bank would play an active role in providing collateral free loans to Famers Producer Companies (FPCs) for which credit guarantee cover upto 85 % of the loan amount maximum upto one crore will be made available by SFAC. Bank of Baroda is the second largest PSU Bank which is known for innovative banking practices and spearheading the cause of social banking. Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is an Autonomous Society promoted by Ministry of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India which is pioneering inclusive growth of small and marginal farmers in agribusiness activities. The Society has also been entrusted with the task of implementation of the critically important National Agriculture Market Scheme on e-platform to progressively free agricultural trade and offer price discovery to farmers. Shri G B Panda, Head - Govt Relationships, Bank of Baroda while welcoming the gathering, highlighted the importance of reaching out to the grass root level and enlightened that signing of this MOU is a way forward to help India to built a robust agriculture economy. Shri G.B.Bhuyan, Head- Rural & Agri Banking and CSR presided over the function and exchanged MOU with Smt. Sapna Nigam,Director,SFAC. He accentuated that the bank is strongly committed to promote agro based lending in order to achieve the goal of doubling the farmers’ income as envisioned by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Smt. Sapna Nigam, Director (VCA), also highlighted the importance of reaching out to the farmers and thanked Bank of Baroda having taken this initiative to develop overall agri business. Shri R.K.Gupta, Zonal Head of the Bank underscored that the relationship of Bank with SFAC will immensely benefit the farmers in increasing their farm income and assured that the bank will take all steps to translate the agreement to business numbers in agri business domain.
Bank of Baroda’s Unique Initiative to Promote Indian Classical Music
Bank of Baroda, has always been at the forefront in promoting Indian Classical Music which is a powerful reflection of the cultural heritage of our Country. The Bank has been regularly associated with various artists and well known performers to popularize classical music of India. In continuation with the same tradition, Bank of Baroda, is exclusively supporting „Udayswar@Prithvi a collaboration between Pancham Nishad and Prithvi Theatre, with the objective of encouraging the endeavour to preserve and promote the rich traditional performing arts of India. „Udayswar@ Prithvi - a concert of morning ragas, is an unique acoustic experience, wherein, the intimacy and excellent acoustics of Prithvi Theatre enables an unadulterated exchange of music between the artiste and the audience making it unlike any other in today's age of microphones and amplification. With Bank of Baroda s exclusive support, the first of the eleven shows of „Udayswar@Prithvi began with a scintillating performance by Shubha Mudgal and will be followed by performances by rising and renowned vocal and instrumental Indian classical musicians on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Speaking on the occasion of the first concert, P.S. Jayakumar, MD & CEO of Bank of Baroda expressed his happiness with the association and said “Udayswar@Prithvi is a great platform to showcase the depth of Indian Classical Music and Bank of Baroda will keep collaborating with such initiatives to encourage & promote classical music.” Ashok Kumar Garg, Executive Director of the Bank expressed that, “Our bank recognized the uniqueness of the acoustic experience that „Udayswar@Prithvi offers and decided to support this concert series for the passionate and sincere efforts made by the organizers to develop the interest of art lovers of Mumbai in Indian Classical Music”.
