380 man­age­ment stu­dents pass out on this con­clud­ing cer­e­mony

he jour­ney of a thou­sand miles be­gins with one step” - and our stu­dents have taken their first step to­wards their jour­ney as a pro­fes­sional. The con­clud­ing cer­e­mony for our spe­cial­ized MBA & BBA pro­grams marked the be­gin­ning of their ca­reers ahead. For those who are go­ing to con­tinue their stud­ies it was their for­mal good­bye to their alma mater. Dean Emer­i­tus - Prof K. T. Ravindran FRICS started the day with a wel­come ad­dress to the stu­dents. This was fol­lowed by key ad­dresses made by the em­i­nent School Di­rec­tors of all three schools. Around 380 stu­dents from our pro­grams namely MBA CPM, MBA CEQS, MBA REUI, MBA IM, BBA CM and BBA REUI and PGDFM re­ceived their pro­vi­sional cer­tifi­cates. Awards were pre­sented to the stu­dents for their aca­demic achieve­ments and out­stand­ing con­tri­bu­tion in ex­tracur­ric­u­lar ac­tiv­i­ties like Knowl­edge Cre­ation, Or­ga­ni­za­tional Abil­i­ties, Sum­mer Project, In­ter­per­sonal Skills, Team Spirit, Next Gen­er­a­tion Woman Leader and more. Cer­tifi­cates of merit were also given to stu­dents who stood out with their scholas­tic ex­cel­lence. Our stu­dents took an oath of be­ing a re­spon­si­ble and eth­i­cal hu­man be­ing in pro­fes­sion and life. It was an ex­tremely solemn rit­ual filled with emo­tions and one could sense the prom­ise that lay be­hind the words. Our Dean Emer­i­tus con­grat­u­lated the stu­dents and stressed on the re­spon­si­bil­ity of car­ry­ing for­ward RICS ethics and stan­dards that now lies on their shoul­ders. Sachin Sand­hir, Global Man­ag­ing Direc­tor – Emerg­ing Busi­ness, RICS, spoke about the im­por­tance of be­ing con­nected to the brand RICS, the ben­e­fits of pos­sess­ing a glob­ally ac­cred­ited de­gree and the need to pur­sue char­tered qual­i­fi­ca­tion which is in such high de­mand by the built en­vi­ron­ment sec­tor to­day. Ash­wani Awasthi, Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer – RICS School of Built En­vi­ron­ment, talked about the need to stay hum­ble and grounded in the face of peaks and val­leys that one may come across in life. Su­nil Agar­wal FRICS, As­so­ciate Dean and Direc­tor, School of Real Es­tate, re­minded the stu­dents that they are the am­bas­sadors of RICS val­ues and should take care not to tar­nish its im­age in any way.
