The Faridabad based ISO 9001: 2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certified firm’s core business areas are automobile and construction equipment industry segment encompassing bicycle, twowheelers, four wheelers, commercial vehicles, earth movers, tractors, agriculture equipments, and lighting engineering. “Quality is the cornerstone of all our activities at Karan Automotives. A 1995 graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore, Mr. Singh is a recipient of ‘Young Entrepreneur’ award. What started as Hyflex Auto Industries in 1965 shifted to tube business starting with A.G pipes later. Karan Automotives witnessed naissance in the year 2000. The legacy started by Sh.Balwant Singh in 1965 has been carried forward by his three sons Mr Ravinder Singh , Mr. Gurdeep Singh and Mr Ranjit Singh . The robust family business base facilitated fast growth and the firm’s carving of a distinctive niche in the Indian engineering sector. Sh. Balwant Singh has been featured in the Limca Book of Records for manufacturing of fruits & vegetables cutting machines. Last fiscal, Karan Automotives generated a turnover of Rs. 94 crore, triggered by an annual average growth rate of 10%. A turnover of Rs. 110 crore is expected to be generated this financial year.

Karan Automotives has four manufacturing units, 2 in Faridabad, 1 in Haridwar, and another in Gujarat. All units are equipped with the most advanced of facilities like press shop, weld shop, CNC tube bending machine, CNC machine shop, CadCam facilities, and the list goes on. Upgradation of machinery according to changing technology trends is a continuous process at Karan Automotives. The Singhs have several grievances against for policies – increased inputs and decreased output due to increasing labor costs but decreased OEM rates and lack of regulation in steel prices; steel input in automobiles aren’t controlled by the government. They consider 2003-04 as the best period when raw materials and labor were easily available and input costs low. They owe their success to family support, family principles, inspiration from father, team effort, and hard work. The Singhs are geared up for diversification into the bicycle segment. “We wish to build our own brand in this segment under the identity of ‘Skybikes’,” says Mr. Ranjit Singh. As part of corporate social responsibility, Karan Automotives donates regularly for charity on a monthly basis to NGOs like Gunj, Raise Foundation, NABAD, Care Foundation, to name a few.
