Unacademy raises $1 mn ConveGeniu­s gets ~6 cr

Unacademy, a free online learning platform, has raised an additional $1 million in its second round of external investment. Investors include Blume Ventures, Stanford Angels India, WaterBridg­e Ventures, Flipkart’s Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal. In April 2016, the company had raised its first round of funding worth $500,000. The company was founded by Gaurav Munjal, Roman Saini, Hemesh Singh and Sachin Gupta. ConveGeniu­s, an education technology company offering mobile solutions to enhance quality of education, has raised an equity investment worth ~6 crore from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. The company is the first platform company in the K-12 space in India, offering learning programs that enhance grade-level competenci­es for primary school children.
