Unacademy raises $1 mn ConveGenius gets ~6 cr
Unacademy, a free online learning platform, has raised an additional $1 million in its second round of external investment. Investors include Blume Ventures, Stanford Angels India, WaterBridge Ventures, Flipkart’s Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal. In April 2016, the company had raised its first round of funding worth $500,000. The company was founded by Gaurav Munjal, Roman Saini, Hemesh Singh and Sachin Gupta. ConveGenius, an education technology company offering mobile solutions to enhance quality of education, has raised an equity investment worth ~6 crore from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. The company is the first platform company in the K-12 space in India, offering learning programs that enhance grade-level competencies for primary school children.
