Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was scheduled to speak back to back at two different venues in Mumbai on a particular day, making it tough for reporters to shadow him. Some of them found a Good Samaritan in the chief executive officer of Bombay Stock Exchange Ashish Chauhan, who offered a ride to some of the media representatives from Vivanta at Taj at Cuffe Parade to Taj Hotel at Colaba. Reporters did not want to give up this chance and soon Chauhan found himself sandwiched in the back seat of his swanky BMW as journalists trooped in. Even Chauhan’s aid-de-camp had to take another vehicle after a reporter from a television channel parked herself comfortably in the front seat beside the driver.
