NL Dalmia Institute of Management Studies organized a Mock Parliament

N.L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research organized a 'Mock Parliament' on 17th February, 2018 under the guidance of Mrs. Masuma Cycle walaas an educational tool to promote understanding about the working of the government. The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Geeta B. Jain, an Indian politician from Bhartiya Janata Party and Ex-Mayor of Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation. The students enacted the role of the ruling as well as opposition party MPs besides that of Ministers. The leader of opposition, Mr. Aatur Bakliwal commenced the discussion and Prime Minister, Ms. Aarzoo Khandelwal concluded the same.The Madam Speaker was the chief guest herself, Ms. Geeta B. Jain. Most aspects related with the functioning of the Parliament were covered during the mock session. "Calling for attention motion, Discussion on various issues, the Question Hour as well as the concluding speech by the student Prime Minister" were some of the highlights of the event.The pivotal topics covered were issues related to GST, Uniform Civil Code, Terrorism, Swacch Bharat and various others. This event provided students a chance to put forth their opinions and suggestions and developed the understanding of a proper decorum that is maintained in the Parliament.The event ended with the guest addressing the students and enlightening them with the knowledge of parliament proceedings, making it an exhilarating event.
