Uniform Banking Hours for All Public Sector Banks (PSBS) in Maharashtra State

As part of EASE 2.0 Reforms on Banking for Customer Convenience, Indian Banks' Association (IBA) approved three time sets for Customer Banking Hours on all India basis viz. 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.; 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Uniform Banking Hours for all PSBS in Maharashtra State will be implemented from 1st November, 2019. State Level Bankers' Committees (SLBCS) were instructed to take up the matter with Lead District Managers and get recommendations for uniform time sets after consultations in District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC). Accordingly, Lead District Managers of Maharashtra, after due consultation in DLCC meetings, have recommended the time sets for branches of PSBS in Maharashtra. Banking hours for residential area branches would be 9am to 4pm and customers banking hours from 9am to 3pm, for commercial area branches banking hours would be 11am to 6pm & customer banking hours from 11am to 5pm. Similarly banking hours for other area branches will be from10am to 5pm and branches remain open for customers up to 4pm. In this regard, as per the directions of IBA and recommendations of Lead District Managers / DLCCS, SLBC Maharashtra approves the time sets for branches of PSBS in Maharashtra as mentioned above.
