GACL celebrated its Annual Day

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL), a Company promoted by the Government of Gujarat started its commercial production at Vadodara plant on 19th October 1976. Accordingly, GACL celebrates “19th October” as its Annual Day every year. This year too, GACL celebrated its Annual Day by organizing various socially beneficial events. Continuing its tradition, to give back to the society, GACL organised blood donation camp and cleanliness awareness drive. Distribution of basic necessity goods to the underprivileged section of the society, extending monetary aid collected by the employees, supporting old age home, blind and juvenile home, sports activities for employees, the launch of the Gujarati version of the book ‘Salt of the Earth - The GACL Saga’ in Kindle e-book format on amazon.in and other activities were carried out. As a part of the Annual Day Celebrations, the Managing Director, Shri P. K. Gera, (IAS) inaugurated the Blood Donation Drive. In this noble initiative, officers and other employees participated wholeheartedly. As the whole country is working for cleanliness, to create more awareness among the public, under the leadership of the Managing Director, employees organised a cleanliness awareness drive at Sayaji Garden. The employees also distributed clothes, footwear, toys, books, notebook, penpencil etc. and expressed their joy with the people.
