-

At a press conference in Washington, May 2020: “They have a big conflict, India and China. Two countries with 1.4 billion people (each). Two countries with very powerful militaries. India is not happy and probably China is not happy…i can tell you; I did speak to Prime Minister Modi. He is not in a good mood about what is going on with China… I would do that (mediate). If they thought it would help.”

In Davos, January 2020, after a conversation with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan: "We will discuss the situation in Kashmir. We can meditate. We are working with Pakistan on some border (issues) and talking about Kashmir in relation to what is going on between Pakistan and India. If we can help, we certainly will be helping. In Washington, September 2019: “Well, India and Pakistan are having a conflict over Kashmir, as you know. I think it’s a little bit less heated right now than it was two weeks ago, and I’m willing to help them. I get along with both (the) countries very well. I’m willing to help them if they want. They know that that is out there.”

In Washington, July 2019: "I would be willing to help (with Kashmir) if both wanted… If both Pakistan, let's say, and India wanted me to do that, I am ready, willing, and able. It's a complex issue."

In Washington, July 2016: "If it was necessary, I would do that. If we could get India and Pakistan getting along, I would be honoured to do that. That would be a tremendous achievement... “
