- PEERZADA ABRAR

At a time when Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc across India, robotics brand Milagrow Humantech has launched four new humanoid robots, as it witnesses increasing demand for automated solutions.

The guest relations robot

Robodicaprio, the guest relations robot, is 155 cms tall and can be used for greeting, reservations, and advertising. It can also be used for patrolling at hotels, banks, restaurants, hospitals, schools, and shopping arcades. Equipped with sensors to sense human presence in proximity, it can actively interact with visitors. When it comes to navigation, Robodicaprio functions on a highlyspecified LIDAR (light detection and ranging) remote-sensing tech, which can scan a distance of 25 m with an accuracy of 2 mm.

The serving robot

The other humanoid Robojulia — a serving robot — is 155 cms tall. It is designed to deliver meals to the guests’ designated tables, explain the menu, and proffer restaurant information.

The service assistant

Milagrow said its service assistant robot called Roboelf has already been deployed at AIIMS in New Delhi and Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai.

The personal companion

The other humanoid Robonano is a personal assistant bot equipped with Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service. This Cloudenabled bot features voice assistance, smarthome control, and remote surveillance capabilities. It stands 85 cms tall and comes with over 50 sensors.
