RENOM RAISES THE BAR IN O&M SERVICE
BACKED BY THE DIVERSIFIED SANJAY GHODAWAT GROUP, O&M SERVICES FIRM RENOM AIMS TO ACHIEVE A THREE-FOLD EXPANSION BY FY2025 TO MANAGE OVER 5,000 MW OF RENEWABLE ASSETS IN INDIA
Renom Energy Services Pvt. Ltd. (Renom), is the O&M services arm of the diversified Sanjay Ghodawat Group (SGG). It was established in 2015 with a basic philosophy to deliver the best operations and maintenance services through innovative practices. It is the first and only Independent Service Provider (ISP) in India to manage wind turbines of all the five-technologies in the country. Renom now maintains 13 brands and 24 models of wind turbines, with a total portfolio of over 1,500MW spread over seven states and 55 locations. It has over 600 team members with over 2,000man years of combined experience. Renom has its own inhouse stateof-the-art Electronic Repair Service (ERS) Center in Pune to service all types of PCBS, SRBS, and controllers with less turnaround time. Renom is the only ISP that has developed SCADA (RESCA) with a single-window dashboard, to view all make and models of wind turbines for remote monitoring and controlling of assets. Besides ERS, it also houses a competent
Blade Care Division for carrying out all rotor blade-related maintenance and repair works. It also has a Special Task Team that takes care of all the major activities like replacement of gearbox, generators, blades, etc. This in-house team helps in the timely restoration of turbines and reduces the dependency on any third-party vendor.
Renom developed a Digital Twin (DT) platform along with ATOS that helps build a digital replica of physical assets. This platform computes the failure analysis for various components of the wind turbines by using data analytics. It is the prediction model which gives the remaining useful life of the wind turbine components and provides the yield prediction. The integrated SCADA, along with SAP, AMPS and DT, controls and maintains efficiency, distributes data for smarter decisions and communicates system issues to help mitigate downtime to the lowest level possible.
Speaking about future expansion, Shrenik Ghodawat, Founder & Director Renom, says, “With a vision to be the most preferred ISP for the customers in the global renewable energy market space, we aim to provide premium quality and value-added services to our customers' assets at an affordable cost. It will be our endeavour to continue to support them by bringing world class systems and processes in India. We have now set a vision for Renom to manage over 5,000 MW of assets in India by FY2025.” In 2019, RENOM started providing asset management services to IPPS like Acciona Energy, Apraava Energy (CLP), Atria Power, Leap Green Energy, NSL Power, Hero Future Energies, Tata Power and other corporate and retail customers.
Renom’s industrial competencies have been demonstrated since its inception. It is India's only ISP with certification credentials such as: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 by TUV Nord and targeting GL (Germanischer Lloyd) certification of service and maintenance activities in the wind industry. It has been awarded by 'India Wind Energy Forum 2021' for the categories of Digital Technology Company of the Year: IT, Analytics, and Big Data and Company of the Year: O&M (Wind Turbine – Multitechnology). It has also been recently certified as a “Great Place to Work® 2022”.
