HYATT REGENCY XIAMEN WUYUANWAN has opened near to the Xiamen Internatio­nal Conference and Exhibition Center and a few minutes’ drive from Xiamen Gaoqi Internatio­nal Airport. The 301 rooms and suites at the hotel range in size from 45 to 208 sqm and come with wifi access, bathrooms with separate bathtub and rain shower, a 48-inch LCD TV and Bluetooth audio equipment. Other facilities include four F&B outlets, 2,500 sqm of meetings and events spaces, a 200 sqm outdoor lawn by the pool, a 450 sqm ballroom, a jogging route, and a 24-hour gym with studio spaces and fitness classes. W LAS VEGAS opened in December 2016. It is made up of three towers. The hotel’s 289 rooms have been designed by Philippe Starck with whimsical wall features, brightlyco­loured textiles and statement furnishing­s. Its Living Room bar is inspired by casino tables and features secluded seating areas, the lift lobby is lined with playing cards, while at the front desk an art installati­on is made from poker chips, hand-signed by the workers that built the hotel. Other facilities include a spa, fitness centre, and seven food and beverage options. HILTON’S CURIO COLLECTION has reopened the El San Juan Hotel in the Puerto Rican capital of San Juan. The 388-room waterfront hotel is located in the district of Isla Verde. It has five restaurant­s overseen by executive chef Gonzalo Rivero, who has joined from the Waldorf Astoria Resort in Boca Raton, Florida. A new restaurant will open in the spring, championin­g produce and ingredient­s sourced by local farmers, fishermen and small businesses. For events, the hotel has the second largest ballroom in San Juan plus four pools, six bars and the El San Juan Beach Club. A spa and fitness centre are scheduled to open next year.
