AROUND DOHA

-

AL RAYYAN

This city is approximately 30 minutes by road from Doha. Walk through the public parks and gardens or spend an adventurous day taking a trip down to Qatari, the racing circuit.

AL KHOR

Translating to “bay” in English, Al Khor is around 60km away from Doha. Stop over at the nearby “Purple Island” where you can walk into three historic watchtowers that border Al Khor’s shoreline. With more time on hand, stroll through Al Khor Park or enjoy a shopping tryst at the Al Khor Mall.

AL WAKRAH

Al Wakrah is situated on the shores of the Persian Gulf. Set against the backdrop of an old fort built in the early 20th century, the Wakrah Museum gives an insight into local history. Pay your respects at the Manaratain Mosque, visit the house of Sheikh Ghanim Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani or visit the beach located south of Al Wakrah.

FUWAYRIT

Fuwayrit has a beach located at the outskirts of the village that attracts tourists from the world over. It is a naturally protected area where turtles occasionally sprawl on the beach laying their eggs.
