SpiceJet to start flights to Patna; introduces e-Gate facility at Bengaluru Airport

SpiceJet has announced the beginning of its operations to Patna from July 1. It will fly the Boeing 737 to Bihar’s capital.

The budget carrier will commence direct flights from Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai to Patna. • Bengaluru-Patna: departure 1355, arrival 1705, daily • Patna-Bengaluru: departure 1055, arrival 1325, daily • Chennai-Patna: departure 1435, arrival 1705, Tuesdays • Patna-Chennai: departure 1055, arrival 1325, Tuesdays • Hyderabad-Patna: departure 0800, arrival 1010, daily • Patna-Hyderabad: departure 1800, arrival 2020, daily • Kolkata-Patna: departure 1755, arrival 1905, daily • Patna-Kolkata: departure 0845, arrival 0945, daily • Mumbai-Patna: departure 0545, arrival 0815, daily • Patna-Mumbai: departure 1950, arrival 2220, daily

In other news, SpiceJet has introduced an e-Gate facility at Bengaluru Airport that allows passengers to scan their boarding passes (soft or hard copy) at an automated e-Gate present at the boarding area.

It is the first Indian airline to introduce this facility that completes the entire boarding process within ten minutes, compared to the usual 25-30 minutes approximat­ely.
