HARASSMENT IN BUSINESS CLASS CHECK-IN
Even after having a valid business class ticket and pre-booked seats, it was amazing to find that Cathay Pacific over sold business class seats and downgraded one of us to economy. Cathay hadn’t informed us about this and after traveling the airline for several years, this was shocking and unexpected. I demand Cathay to explain how can they over sell business class seats, and not inform regular passengers like us in advance.
The incident has caused huge heartburn and anxiety and we demand for an explanation before we proceed to the law.
The staff offered meagre cash compensation as a joke during our harassed moments. The staff also wanted us to sign a receipt whereby we accept a meagre cash payment as indemnification.
Our flight number was KA169. We flew on July 23, 2017 from Kolkata to Hong Kong, with onward connection to Seoul.
