- aa.com

American Airlines has unveiled its first refurbished Flagship lounge at New York JFK, with others to follow at Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Heathrow, Miami and Philadelphia. Business class passengers can now enter the expanded lounge, joining first class customers who previously had exclusive access. Facilities include quiet rooms, individual work pods, showers, “a robust hot and cold food buffet, an a la carte dining menu and a chef’s table with rotating menu of made-to-order entrees”.

A separate Flagship First Dining area offers a “sit-down restaurant experience” featuring “locally inspired menus”. The Flagship First Dining area will be added to AA’s lounges at Miami and LA this year, followed by Dallas Fort Worth and London Heathrow. The revamped lounges are a part of a US$200 million investment in the carrier’s luxury travel facilities, which also includes a Flagship First Check-In service available at New York JFK, Chicago, Heathrow, Los Angeles and Miami.
