ONAM PULIKALI TIGER PLAY Onam is one of the biggest festivals for the state of Kerala, celebrated at the time the new crop is harvested by farmers. The Onum Pulikali Tiger Play is performed on the fourth day of the festival, in various parts of Thrissur. It is all about the unintended hide-and-seek game played between the tiger and its hunter. During this time, a common sight is men dressed as tigers on the roads of Thrissur, moving to the beats of traditional instruments (mostly drums). Classic dance forms are also performed as a part of these small skits. keralatourism.org
