KENTUCKY BOURBON FESTIVAL Stated to be one of the commonwealth’s leading community festivals, this event paints all things bourbon. The tradition started 25 years ago in 1992. The event is aimed at saluting bourbon. Visitors are educated on the bourbon-making process, documentation of its history and glory associated with the drink — all of which is presented as what it really is, a beautiful piece of art. Local and international crowds at the festival grow each year, with an average footfall of about 53,000.
