DIAL hon­ours avi­a­tion’s best

DIAL pre­sented the third edi­tion of GMR-IGI Air­port Awards to recog­nise the key per­form­ers of the In­dian Avi­a­tion In­dus­try. The two spe­cial recog­ni­tion awards at a gala func­tion were held at King­dom of Dreams, Gur­gaon.

Re­cently held in the cap­i­tal, the 3rd edi­tion of GMR-IGI Air­port Awards were or­gan­ised by the Delhi In­ter­na­tional Air­port (Pvt) Ltd. (DIAL) to cel­e­brate and recog­nise the key per­form­ers in the In­dian Avi­a­tion in­dus­try. GMR-IGI Awards 2014 were given across 28 di­ver­si­fied cat­e­gories with two spe­cial recog­ni­tion awards at a gala func­tion held at the King­dom of Dreams, Gur­gaon.

com­pli­mented the en­tire com­mu­nity for the ex­cel­lent re­sults achieved by DIAL and spoke about the vi­sion of the company to make the IGI Air­port the num­ber one air­port glob­ally. He said last year was a great year for IGIA. “We han­dled 36.8 mil­lion pas­sen­gers, 291 thou­sand air­craft move­ments and 605 thou­sand tonnes of cargo.”

in­formed that the IGI Air­port re­ceived the pres­ti­gious Golden Pea­cock Award, along­with many other awards and ac­co­lades.

The power-packed award func­tion saw some won­der­ful dance se­quences by Ter­ence Lewis. Bol­ly­wood king, Shah Rukh Khan, made a sur­prise en­try and did a jig with the ace chore­og­ra­pher.
