E2ecargo.com: An online cargo platform

Blue Bird Logistics has devised an online portal which aims at solving the problems of convention­al cargo delivery business and simplifies the booking process, allowing users to choose their preferred date and time for the pick up of shipments.

Blue Bird Logistics has launched an online booking portal, e2ecargo.com for the exporters community. The initial service offering for the small shipment market is focussed largely on small and medium enterprise­s. At present, the platform allows exporters to book their general cargo air export shipments to over 40 top global destinatio­ns.

e2ecargo.com picks the parcel from the doorstep, takes care of custom clearances, takes care of all airline and terminal charges and helps in providing lower landing charges to its customer.

e2ecargo.com is designed around user requiremen­ts and is simple in terms of access and usage. A standard price requisitio­n, comparison, decision-making and booking process which would normally take between four to six hours can now be completed in less than five minutes. It facilitate­s instant bookings for a maximum weight of 480 kg per shipment and dimensions, as permitted on standard wide body aircrafts.

For shipments that exceed the set booking parameters, e2ecargo.com gives users the option to e-mail a rate request. The offline mode offers solutions for shipments that cannot be currently booked via e2ecargo.com. This includes solutions for dangerous goods, pharma- ceuticals, and odd dimensiona­l shipments. It also helps complete charter requiremen­ts. e2ecargo.com will initially take bookings from DelhiNCR and will cover cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai by the end of 2016.
