Evolution

The May 2016 issue was power packed with news from across the length and breadth of the country. Even though I am based at Surat, I am well aware of the conflict that ensued between the Delhi Government and the cab aggregators. I also got to read that the Tata Prima has been launched in Bhutan. It was interesting to see Mumbai’s Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport ( BEST) looking at acquiring electric buses against the backdrop of the developments at Navi Mumbai, Bandra- Kurla Complex and Delhi. After Delhi, Kerala has been quick to take a stand against conventional fuels like diesel. The commercial vehicle industry, it is clear, is under pressure to meet diverse demands. The times ahead look challenging, but I am sure that the industry will evolve at a brisk pace. Surat
