3rd SIAM Automotive Logistics Conclave
After hosting two successful editions, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is all set to organise the ‘3rd edition of the Automotive Logistics Conclave’ on June 21st and 22nd, 2016 at Hotel Taj Mahal, Mansingh Road, New Delhi.
Taj Mahal, Mansingh Road, New Delhi. With a clear aim to bring together several stakeholders from the automotive logistics fraternity, SIAM aims to discuss and bring forward the challenges and future opportunities that can further optimize the logistics industry in India. Therefore,
“Optimizing Operational Efficiency in Automotive Logistics”
has been kept as the theme for this year’s conclave.
The conclave would be deliberating on a wide range of topics that would interest the logistics heads of automobile manufacturers, logistics service providers ( 3PLs), logistics facilitators, as well as academicians, consultants, etc.
As the central government has been quite bullish about pursuing railways and waterways (coastal and inland), apart from roads, for the transportation of finished vehicles across India, various sessions have been lined up for the conference, which will cover Logistics Opportunities and Challenges, Road Transportation, Waterways and Shipping, Export Scenario and Challenges and Railways - Terminals, Policies & Technology, etc.
Various dignitaries like Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Mr. Abhay Damle, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Road Transportation and Highways, Mr. Amitabh Verma, Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India, Mr. Rajive Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Shipping along with other senior bureaucrats are also expected to be a part of the conclave.
