-

Tata Hitachi rolled out the 50,000th construction equipment from its Dharwad plant recently. The equipment, a hydraulic excavator, EX200LC, was delivered to Ms. DRN Infrastructure, Hubli. The infrastructure company, which deploys over 100 Tata Hitachi machines in their projects, operates in Karnataka and Maharshtra on irrigation and road constructon projects. The hydraulic excavator, to find use in the projects that the company undertakes, was chosen for its fine properties of reliability and efficiency. Interestingly, the same infrastructure company, in 2006, took delivery of the 10,000th machine made by Tata Hitachi at its plant at Dharwad. Present on the occasion were R N Nayak and Dinesh R Nayak of DRN Infrastructure, and K Kimura, Alt. Director and Sr. Advisor, Tata Hitachi. The Dharwad plant of Tata Hitachi was commissioned in 1998, and is spread over 118 acres. Catering to mini and midiexcavator and backhoe loader segments, 60 per cent of Tata Hitachi’s production rolls out of the Dharwad plant.
