VDL Group and Pinnacle Industries ink a JV

Pinnacle Industries has inked a joint venture with VDL Group of Netherlands to provide specialised engineering services for production automation industry globally. Specialising in the manufacture of commercial vehicle seating and interior solutions, Pinnacle Industries has diversified into providing services in process engineering, tool design, robot simulation, layouts and facilities engineering. The JV, VDL Pinnacle Engineering India in Pune (India), according to Pinnacle sources, will focus primarily on Body-in-White (BIW) weld shops. The JV will supply optimised turnkey solutions as per the requirements of the Indian automotive OEMs and their Tier 1 partners. It will also provide solutions to VDL Steelweld, a Dutch company that has several automotive customers in Europe, USA and China. VDL Pinnacle Engineering India will also be providing engineering services in product design for other VDL Group companies such as the VDL Bus & Coach companies.
