JCB displays road construction equipment at Pune

-

JCB India exhibited its range of road construction solutions at its Pune plant recently. These equipments are made in India, and mark the company’s transformation into a full range infrastructure equipment partner, and in the area of road construction especially. Expressed Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, JCB India, that roads and highways continue to be a major driver for infrastructure growth in India. He mentioned that JCB through its premier road constructions solutions wants to contribute to the building of roads and highways, in rural and urban India. Sondhi pointed at JCB’s role in providing not just a full range of products, but also training, monitoring, parts, and service. Sondhi claimed that JCB has the largest distribution network in India.

Live demonstration of JS 205LC (20T Tracked Excavator), JCB 220LC Xtra (22T Tracked Excavator) and JCB 305LC (30T Tracked Excavator) highlighted the capabilities of these machines and provided an insight into the role they are playing in infrastructure projects. The company also demonstrated the recently introduced JCB116 (11T Soil Compactor), VMT860eco (9T Tandem Roller) and the VMT330 (3.3T Mini Tandem Roller). JCB also displayed the 455ZX, 5.5-tonne wheeled loader, which is primarily used for bulk material loading. A total of 12 machines demonstrated their utility value. They also reflected upon the design centre activities at Pune. The design centre at Pune that JCB has invested in, has been at the forefront of innovation programmes according to Sondhi. He averred, “The innovation programs include machines that were exhibited and demonstrated. Products manufactured at the Pune facility are sold not only in India, but are also exported to various countries around the world.”

Not stopping at the display and demonstration of road and highways construction equipment, JCB put on display the ecoXcellence Backhoe Loader – the 3DX Xtra. The 3T Mini Excavator JCB 30Plus, and material handling products including a Telehandler and the Skid Steer Loader were also displayed. Their demonstration gave an insight into their capabilities as they went about doing their tasks at a site that simulated real working environment. Those attending the event were also shown the GQ100Kva Diesel Genset and the leading range of attachments such as Man Basket, Auger, Rock Breaker, Pallet Fork and Sweeper Collector, etc. A demonstration of JCB Livelink telematics solution was also provided. This technology enables users to remotely monitor machines. It helps to maximise productivity of machines by providing real time alerts on service and operation, elevating safety and security in the process. JCB, in India, has over 60 dealers and 650 outlets. These employ over 6,000 trained professionals to cater to different customer requirements.
