Daimler India delivers 50,000th BharatBenz truck

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has announced the delivery of 50,000th truck in the form of BharatBenz 4928TT tractor. The truck was delivered by the company’s Hyderabad dealership. Reaching out to CV buyers through a network of over 130 touch points, the company, according to managing director and CEO Erich Nesselhauf has achieved this milestone in less than five years, a feat that no other new market entrant in India has achieved. Offering BSIV trucks with SCR technology without an increase in price, Daimler India is roping in new channel partners to increase its market reach. The company is also focussing on export markets. Expanding into the sub ninetonne truck segment by comissionig an additional product line at Chennai, Diamler India Commercial Vehicles will launch the truck in the third quarter of 2017. It will be marketed under the Fuso brand in the export markets. In a quest to balance overall sales volumes between the domestic and export markets, Daimler India is chalking out plans to penetrate 10 new export markets by the end of 2017.
