First-time exhibitor Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Pvt. Ltd., made its debut at Bauma Conexpo with a range of new products. A subsidiary company of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co. Ltd., the company commercially rolled-out its all-new backhoe loader –Tata Hitachi Shinrai. With its cabin designed to offer maximum operator comfort, safety and noise reduction, air-conditioning and ergonomic controls, user-friendly controls and ample storage space, the Shinrai meets ROPS and FOPS safety requirements.
Claimed to offer a strong backhoe and loader performance, Shinrai is powered by the four-cylinder, 3922 cc Cummins B3.980C30 turbocharged, inter-cooled direct injection engine that develops a peak power of 80 hp at 200 rm and a peak torque of 325 Nm at 1300 rpm. Mated to a fourspeed Carraro-make transmission with
synchroshuttle it features a solenoid-type mechanism to facilitate smooth, easy forward and reverse movements. An efficient hydraulic system is said to aid the operator in attaining maximum fuel efficiency. GPS and GPRS-based remote tracking through ‘Insite’ additionally helps monitor the
machine’s whereabouts and said to aid in efficient operation. Beside the Shinrai, the company showcased the new Super+ series of hydraulic excavators – EX130 Super+ and EX 210 Super+, ZAXIS370LCH especially designed for quarry and granite applications, and ZAXIS220 LCM. TL340H, a ‘Made in India’ fuelsaving hydrostatic wheel loader and the compact ZAXIS20U were also on display.
