Complainant: Eric Pinto Complaint against: Timex In July 2014 I gave my Timex watch to Time Collection at Panjim, Goa, for replacing the strap. The staff told me that it would be sent to Timex Company for strap replacement and that it would be returned within 15 days. However, in September I received a call from Time Collection conveying that the strap was not available and that the company was giving a discount voucher of Rs 600 applicable on any new purchase I made from Timex, against the watch that needed strap replacement. I refused to accept any voucher and demanded the watch back – I had bought it for Rs 3,000. I followed up for months but did not get my watch back from the company.

Voice Action

Voice wrote to the company stating that this clearly would amount to deficiency in service and asked them to look into the complaint and do the needful. Otherwise the consumer would be forced to take legal recourse. Voice received a letter from the complainant stating that not only was the watch returned to him, but the strap, which the company had said was not available with them, was provided as well. Complainant: Vijay Kumar Majumdar Complaint against: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance: Health Saver policy I visited Consumer Voice office with a grievance against ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company on their Health Saver policy, against which I had to spend about Rs 89,000 (twice in two hospitals) in December 2014 as the cashless claim was rejected by the company. The treatment was for my collegegoing daughter, who suddenly fell unconscious and had to be admitted urgently.
